You will need:

Small whisk or fork, garlic press or knife

Ingredients for the tomato butter

For 4 servings, 1 serving = approx. 50 g (0 g of sugar)

100 g butter or margarine, soft

25 g tomato paste

2 tomatoes, dried preserved in oil

1 clove garlic

salt and pepper to taste

To allow the flavour of the tomatoes to fully emerge, you can prepare the tomato butter the day before.


Step 1:

Crush the garlic clove with a garlic press or cut it into very small pieces. Cut the 2 dried tomatoes into small pieces as well.

Step 2:

Thoroughly mix 100 g of softened butter with 25 g of tomato paste, garlic, the tomato pieces, salt, and pepper.

Step 3:

Place in a bowl, cover, and refrigerate, until the butter has thickened again. Then serve with bread or with a barbecue.
