You will need:

Kettle, 1L jug or similar container, ice cube mold

Ingredients for the iced tea

For 4 servings, 1 serving = approx. 250 ml (5 g of sugar)

1 liter water

4 bags of black tea

20 g sugar

1/2 organic lemon

1/2 bunch fresh mint

For the final touch:

1/2 organic lemon

ice cubes

Preparation

 

Step 1:

Boil 1 l of water in a kettle. Put 4 tea bags, 20 g sugar and 1 l hot water in a jug and leave the tea to infuse according to the instructions.

Caution, the longer the tea infuses, the more bitter it gets.

Step 2:

Wash the lemon with hot water and cut it in half, saving one lemon half for later. Cut the other half into slices. Wash the mint and set aside a few leaves for the garnish. Pluck the remaining leaves and rub them between your hands to release their flavor.

Step 3:

Remove the tea bags, add the lemon slices and mint leaves. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature and place it in the refrigerator.

Replace some of the water with ice cubes to shorten the cooling time.

Step 4:

Before serving, discard the lemon slices and mint used for infusing the tea. Cut the remaining half of the lemon into slices. Serve the iced tea in a glass or jug with fresh lemon slices, remaining mint leaves, and ice cubes.
