You will need:
Lemon squeezer, hand blender or food processor
Ingredients for the hummus
For 5 servings, 1 serving = approx. 70 g (0 g of sugar)
1 can chickpeas, drained (265 g drained weight)
2 tbsp tomato paste
0,5 organic lemon
1 clove garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
0.5 tsp cumin
0.5 tsp salt
0,25 tsp pepper
Optional: 3 tbsp tahini (sesame paste)

Preparation
Step 1:
Cut the lemon in half and squeeze out one of the halves.

Step 2:
Blend 265 g of chickpeas, 2 tbsp of tomato paste, juice of ½ lemon, 1 clove of garlic, 2 tbsp of olive oil, ½ tsp of cumin, ½ tsp of salt, and ¼ tsp of pepper until smooth.

Add 3 tbsp of tahini for a creamier consistency. If the mixture is too firm, add a little more water.
Step 3:
Season the hummus with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with a little cumin or with 1 tsp of olive oil and serve.

The hummus is perfect as a spread or as a dip for vegetable sticks.
