Ingredients for burger buns
For 6 servings, 1 serving = 1 burger bun (0 g of sugar)
350 ml plant-based milk
½ packet yeast, fresh
300 g wheat flour type 405
200 g whole wheat flour
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp milk alternative
1 pinch of salt
Sesame seeds
Preparation
Step 1:
Heat 350 ml of plant-based milk slightly until lukewarm.
Crumble ½ packet of fresh yeast into the plant-based milk and stir until the yeast has dissolved.
Step 2:
Put 300 g of wheat flour, 200 g of whole wheat flour, 2 tbsp of olive oil and 1 tsp of salt in a bowl, add the milk with the yeast, and knead for 5 minutes.
Tip: Use a hand mixer with a dough hook for this.
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, until the dough has doubled in size.
Step 3:
Knead the dough again and divide it into 6 equal pieces.
Shape the dough into balls and place on a baking tray with baking paper. Let the dough rise again until it has again doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees (if possible, use the convection setting).
To prevent the burger buns from drying out, sprinkle them with a little water from a spray bottle.
Step 4:
Mix 1 tbsp plant-based milk with 1 pinch of salt and spread on the rolls with a brush. Sprinkle the burger buns with the sesame seeds and bake for about 10 – 12 minutes.
