You will need:
Hand blender, pot
Ingredients for the BBQ-sauce
For 10 servings, 1 serving = approx. 50 g (2 g of sugar)
1 clove garlic
1 tbsp tomato paste
20 g sugar
2 tbsp water
5 tbsp vinegar, e.g. balsamic vinegar dark
5 tbsp soy sauce
400 g pureed tomatoes
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper

Preparation
Step 1:
Bring to a boil 1 garlic clove with 1 tbsp tomato paste, 20 g sugar, and 2 tbsp water, and let simmer for approximately 2 minutes. Stir constantly.

Step 2:
Pour in 5 tablespoons of vinegar and 5 tablespoons of soy sauce. Add 400 g of pureed tomatoes and the bay leaf and allow to simmer for about 15 minutes. Stir regularly.

Step 3:
Then remove the garlic clove and bay leaf, season to taste with salt and pepper and transfer to jars.

The finished BBQ-sauce can be kept well sealed in the fridge for up to two weeks. It tastes even better after a few days in the fridge after the flavours had some time to meld.
