The dark season is almost behind us, and the cold days are becoming increasingly rare. Nature is awakening, buds are sprouting everywhere, birds are joyfully chirping, and Easter is approaching. Are you looking forward to dyeing or painting eggs and decorating your home with spring flowers?

Easter is a celebration of joy and peace, and unlike Christmas, it does not have a fixed date. This has to do with the lunar calendar. Easter is celebrated on the Sunday following the first full moon of spring, so the date always falls between March 22 and April 25. Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus on the third day after his death on the cross (Good Friday). It is the most important celebration in Christianity. Easter eggs and Easter bunnies are symbols of joy and life.

Easter gatherings – a time for family and friends

Every year, we celebrate this holiday with our families and friends. For many people, the traditional Easter breakfast is an essential part of the holiday. It is so much fun to set the table festively, decorate it colorfully and spring-like, and create a very special atmosphere. As the host, you are in control: Pay attention to the ingredient list of your groceries when shopping and avoid products that contain added flavors and sweeteners.

Nothing is as tempting as a piece of chocolate you think you cannot have...

When it is time to fill the Easter basket, the question arises: How can this be done while considering the Neatic principles?

Can you even imagine an Easter basket without chocolate bunnies and colorful chocolate eggs?

IMPOSSIBLE!

And you do not have to. The same principle applies here: Keep an eye on the quantity. 😉

Dark chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70 % has a higher cocoa content and less sugar than, for example, milk chocolate or white chocolate. Additionally, dark chocolate satisfies cravings for sweets much quicker meaning you will eat less of it. Try to eat chocolate mindfully and with enjoyment. Be cautious: Chocolate often contains added flavors, so pay attention to the ingredient list when making your purchase.

There are so many other delicious treats and alternatives that can fill an Easter basket. Along with a few carefully chosen chocolate products, you can include fruit, boiled and dyed eggs, nuts, and granola bars. For inspiration on sweet treats without added flavors, sweeteners, and with little to no sugar, check out our recipe ideas.

As the weather gets warmer, you might find it easier to start moving outdoors again. Whether alone or with friends and family, an Easter walk is a wonderful way to get fresh air and enjoy spring. Why is physical activity so important, and how can you integrate more movement into your daily life? Find out here.
