You will need:
Apple corer, whisk
Ingredients for the baked apple rings
For 15 apple rings (3 servings), 1 serving = 5 apple rings (0 g of sugar)
3 apples
200 g wheat flour type 405
1 pinch of salt
200 ml milk
2 eggs
Optional: some cinnamon
oil for baking
Preparation
Step 1:
Wash 3 apples thoroughly and remove the core with an apple corer. Cut the apples into slices about 1 cm thick.
Tip: If you don’t have an apple corer, you can also cut out the rings first and then carefully cut out the round core with a knife.
Step 2:
Mix 250 g of flour, 1 pinch of salt, 200 ml of milk and 2 eggs with a whisk until a smooth mass is obtained. Optionally add a little cinnamon.
Step 3:
Add enough oil to the pan so that the bottom is well covered and heat. Add the apple rings to the batter and fry them, turning them regularly. If necessary, add a little oil.
Use 2 forks to cover the apple rings with batter and gently turn them over in the pan.
Step 4:
When baked golden brown, remove the baked apple rings from the pan and drain them on a paper towel. Serve with any fruit you like or sprinkle with some cinnamon.
Optional: You can still sprinkle the baked apple rings with some
powdered sugar, just remember to track the amount.
